Tons Going on at Saddle Creek
Saddle Creek has a lot going on. Two highly anticipated releases are due out on July 7th: The Rural Alberta Advantage – Hometowns and UUVVWWZ‘s debut.
Not familiar with RAA or UUVVWWZ? RAA is a Canadian indie rock band, heralded by critics and featured on eMusic Selects. UUVVWWZ (Pronunciation Guide) is a female fronted band that I’m not too comfortable labeling musically having only heard their 2 tracks on MySpace. What I can say is that the Nebraska quartet definitely interests me and I look forward to hearing what they’ve got.
Other news? Cursive’s new LP is out and they are on the road supporting it. Azure Ray is on the road with them for one of their dates, which is big news since they haven’t hit the road in 5 years. Sebastien Grainger is on the road with Metric and the tour is going well. For dates near you on any of these tours, you can check out the Tours section on the Saddle Creek’s website.
