Best Cover Band Ever
This past week I missed two quality shows at Philadelphia’s North Star Bar that my wife and I really wanted to attend. The first, a headlining show for the awesome Texas indie rock quintet, Eisley. A favorite of my wife, the band undoubtedly rocked out, and we missed it. The lovely ladies and their handsome kin will hopefully come through the Philadelphia area once again soon and we will vow to get our butts down there.
The second show starred the single greatest cover band of all-time, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. My current obsession with their debut and the opening track, “Danny’s Song” (originally by Loggins and Messina) made this all the more difficult to miss. Thankfully, being out of the loop nowadays, I only knew of the show a week prior to it, thus I could not allow my disappointment with being unable to attend to rack my entire being for too long.
